1. Your account
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for everything posted from your account, and you may delete it at any time from account settings.
Last updated August 25, 2026. Plain-language terms for tenants, landlords, and anyone browsing KeyHole. In these terms, "KeyHole" and the "App" mean the KeyHole platform operated by KeyHole USA LLC. See also our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for everything posted from your account, and you may delete it at any time from account settings.
Reviews must describe your own first-hand experience with a property or landlord. Do not post anything false, defamatory, or that reveals someone else's private information. You keep ownership of your content and grant KeyHole a licence to display it.
You agree not to: post a review for a property you have never rented or visited as a resident; offer, solicit, or accept payment or any other benefit in exchange for posting, changing, or removing a review; post on behalf of a landlord, property manager, competitor, or agency while presenting yourself as a tenant; impersonate another person; harass, threaten, or dox any user, tenant, landlord, or employee; upload documents or images you do not have the right to share; or submit falsified residency verification documents.
You also agree not to scrape, crawl, bulk-download, resell, or republish KeyHole data, reviews, or Trust Scores, and not to use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the App except as expressly permitted in writing.
KeyHole may remove content, limit features, suspend, or permanently terminate any account that violates these terms or the Community Guidelines, with or without notice. Where an account is terminated for violating these terms, no refund is owed for any unused portion of a subscription or pass.
Review authors and landlords can file a removal request with a reason. Our moderators review each request and may approve or deny it. We may also remove content that breaks these terms without a request.
KeyHole offers paid lookup passes and annual subscription plans. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars at checkout and payments are processed by Stripe. By completing checkout you authorize KeyHole to charge your payment method for the plan or pass you selected.
Annual plans renew automatically. Unless you cancel before the end of the current term, your payment method will be charged for another full year at the then-current price, and we will notify you of any price change before it takes effect. You can cancel at any time from your account, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the term you already paid for, with access continuing until then.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide partial refunds for unused time, downgrades made mid-term, or accounts terminated for violating these terms. If a renewal payment fails, we may provide a short grace period before paid features are suspended.
Upgrading or downgrading between plans changes your existing subscription rather than creating a second one, and any difference in price is prorated by Stripe against your current term.
KeyHole respects copyright and responds to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on the App infringes your copyright, send a written notice to admin@keyholeusa.com including: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; identification of the material you say is infringing and enough detail for us to locate it (for example the property page URL and the review); your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
KeyHole USA LLC's designated agent for copyright notices can be reached at admin@keyholeusa.com. We will remove or disable access to material we determine in good faith to be infringing, may notify the user who posted it, and will accept counter-notices containing the elements required by the DMCA. We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
Property data comes from third-party sources and reviews reflect the opinions of individual tenants. KeyHole does not guarantee accuracy and is not a party to any lease or rental agreement.
Reviews, ratings, comments, and any other content submitted by users of the App ("User Content") reflect the opinions and personal experiences of the individual submitting them. KeyHole does not create, write, verify the truth of, or take a position on the accuracy of any User Content, and does not act as the publisher or speaker of User Content within the meaning of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, 47 U.S.C. Section 230.
KeyHole is a platform that hosts User Content submitted by third parties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KeyHole is not liable for any User Content, including but not limited to claims that User Content is false, defamatory, misleading, or violates the rights of any landlord, property manager, tenant, or other person.
The App calculates a Trust Score for certain properties and landlord or property manager profiles, based on a combination of factors including review ratings, response behavior, resolution signals, and other data described in the App. The Trust Score is a general informational tool only. It is not a certification, endorsement, guarantee, background check, or professional assessment of any property, landlord, or property manager, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any leasing, rental, investment, or business decision.
The "Verified Resident" badge indicates that a user submitted a document that KeyHole's moderation team reviewed and found to reasonably support a claim of residency at the property in question. This badge is not a guarantee of the truth of the content of the review itself, only that a supporting document was reviewed. KeyHole does not independently investigate, audit, or confirm the accuracy of any review, verified or unverified, beyond the residency verification process described in the App.
KeyHole makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of the Trust Score, any review, any verification badge, or any other data displayed in the App. Property conditions, landlord conduct, and management practices can change over time, and past reviews may not reflect current conditions.
Use of the App does not create a real estate, legal, financial, or other professional advisory relationship between KeyHole and any user. Nothing in the App constitutes real estate, legal, financial, or investment advice. Users should independently verify any information material to a leasing or investment decision, including by inspecting the property directly and consulting appropriate licensed professionals.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KeyHole, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to: (a) any User Content, including reviews, ratings, or comments; (b) the Trust Score or any verification badge; (c) any leasing, rental, or investment decision made in reliance on information displayed in the App; or (d) any dispute between users, including between a tenant and a landlord or property manager, even if KeyHole has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KeyHole's total aggregate liability to any user for any claim arising out of or related to the App, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
Nothing in this section is intended to limit liability in circumstances where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct by KeyHole itself, as opposed to conduct by users of the App.
A landlord or property manager who believes a review about their property is false, violates the Community Guidelines, or was not written by an actual resident may submit a removal request through the process described in the App. KeyHole will review such requests in good faith but does not guarantee removal of any specific review, and a decision not to remove a review does not constitute a determination by KeyHole that the review is true. Landlords and property managers retain whatever legal rights and remedies are otherwise available to them against the individual author of a review, separate from and independent of any request made to KeyHole.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KeyHole USA LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of content you submit, your use of the App, or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
Before filing any lawsuit, arbitration demand, or other formal claim against KeyHole USA LLC, you agree to first contact us in writing at admin@keyholeusa.com with a short description of the dispute, the specific content or decision at issue, and the outcome you are seeking (for example, removal or correction of a particular review). For disputes about User Content, you must also first use the in-App removal request process described in Section 12.
The parties agree to work in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for a period of sixty (60) days from the date KeyHole receives your written notice. This informal resolution period is a condition precedent to starting any formal proceeding, and any applicable statute of limitations is tolled while it runs. KeyHole will follow the same notice process before bringing a claim against you.
If the dispute is not resolved during the informal resolution period, you and KeyHole USA LLC agree that any remaining dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the App will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator, may proceed by written submissions or videoconference where the rules allow, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You and KeyHole each waive the right to a jury trial and agree that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of class proceeding. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will proceed in court.
Exceptions: either party may bring an individual action in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights or to stop unauthorized access to or misuse of the App. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing admin@keyholeusa.com within thirty (30) days of first accepting these terms, stating your name, the email on your account, and that you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect the rest of these terms, including Section 14.
These terms and any dispute arising out of them or the App are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by the Federal Arbitration Act with respect to Section 15. For any claim not subject to arbitration, and for any action to enforce an arbitration award, you and KeyHole agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Ohio, and each party waives any objection to that venue. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
By uploading a photo or video to KeyHole, you confirm that: (1) you personally took the photo or video, or you otherwise hold the legal right to share it and grant the license described below; (2) the content does not include any other person's face, license plate, or other personally identifying detail without that person's consent; and (3) the content accurately depicts the property in question and was not staged or altered to mislead other users.
By submitting content, you grant KeyHole a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform, in marketing materials, and in any format or medium now known or later developed, for as long as your review or account remains active. You retain ownership of your content.
KeyHole reserves the right to remove any photo or video that: violates this policy or any applicable law; was reported and reasonably appears to belong to someone other than the uploader; contains content unrelated to the property being reviewed; or is graphic, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.
KeyHole does not pre-screen every upload and is not responsible for user-submitted content, but will act on takedown requests submitted through the Contact page or by emailing admin@keyholeusa.com.
